Tablets for dcs:Tesco HUDL -v- Kindle fire?

pros & cons? Looking to get DCs one for Christmas (8 and 6) although DC2 I feel may be young, there is no way I can get DC1 a tablet without DC2... it would be a total no go!!

are either of these nay good? Would appreciate all feedback!

Think the hudl 1 is £79 at tesco atm as they've just brought out a hudl 2 if that helps.
I've just gone for a hudl 2 over a kindle fire as specs look better imo.

I haven't yet got it though so can't tell you what it's like.
One of the things that persuaded me was that you seem to be locked into the amazon store for apps. All our stuff is android through play so would be more convenient to keep this the same.

My DS (9) has the kindle fire and it's brilliant. Plus all linked to my amazon account so I can supervise mwahahahaha
