Decided I needed to replace my ancient, malfunctioning HTC. Googled around to find the best phone to buy without spending a packet, and ended up ordering a Motorola Moto G 4G on a Tesco Mobile 24-month contract. It will cost me £13.50 a month, £4.50 of which pays for the handset (at 0% credit, so not getting ripped off for not paying for the handset up-front). Got me wondering what other people use and how much you all spend? Hideously geeky, I know.
I've been with 3 pay-as-you go for yonks and usually spend £10 a month. It's been okay. 3 customer service is patchy and I can't work out how to turn off voicemail (which I hate). But a nice surprise came when I went to Australia a few months ago and discovered I could send texts and use the internet as part of my £10 a month, without any extra charges :)
