Can anyone recommend a music player (ipod or similar) and docking station for DS1 (9)?

DS1 loves watching a robot wars DVD - in particular he loves the music. I had an idea for his Xmas present that I would buy him a ipod or something similar and a docking station, and would use my Shazam app to identify all the music on the DVD and download it onto his ipod (or similar). I would love some recommendations as I don't want to spend a massive amount on this. Also, something that's fairly robust would be good. Any ideas?

Why do you need a docking station?

Philips GoGear have some MP3 players with various capacity. Some even have a small video screen. You can get something from around £25 at Argos. That would be fine for playing MP3s.

Where would get the MP3s from? There can be issues with copying files from things like iTunes. Extracting audio from a CD using windows media player is fine though, just make sure the rip setting is for MP3 as the default is WMA.

Docking station - do you just want speakers? Look some something with an Aux input such as 3.5mm jack. Then get an audio cable to go from the mp3 player to the speakers.
