Is theer any reason to choose a laptop over a desktop if you never move your computer off your desk?

I think I want an imac, but should I get a MacBook pro instead? it's all very confusing, I can't seem to make a direct comparison of the spec of each, which is obvs what should decide it

I would say if you only want to use it at a desk it's much better to get a desktop because the screen, keyboard and mouse tend to be nicer to use.

But of course with a laptop you have flexibility - if you wanted to take it to work or on holiday or even just watch a film in bed, you have the option.

With Windows computers I would say you have the option to easily upgrade a desktop piece by piece whenever you need one but it's not really the same with a mac.
