iPhone 5 trouble!

iTunes keeps freezing when i try to sync my iPhone 5.
It gets to step 3/6 then it just stops and after two minutes the syncing icon on my phone disappears.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Have you tried resetting the phone (holding power and home button down)?

This might fix it (although obviously this is just the iPhone equivalent of turning it off and on again)!

I have just tried that turquoise and it froze on the same part.
If it is any use it backs up fine and then its the preparing to sync part that is crashes on

You're not using a non genuine cable are you? I had this happen with a Griffin cable. Totally fine for charging up but not capable of dealing with the amount of data needed to upload/download. Mine froze half way through and just said 'connect to iTunes' which I couldn't do because I didn't have the proper cable.

I made an emergency appointment with my nearest apple store - thirty miles away - and the chap plugged it in with the right cable. It promptly continued with it's sync and was perfectly fine. Nearly gave me a bloody heart attack.

If you are using a genuine cable then I don't know, sorry. I sometimes find mine freezes and switched itself off when I'm out for the day and using the camera lots. It'll have at least 30% power but won't turn on till I plug it in to charge. Thank god I keep a spare plug in the car. Pissing thing. Love my iPhone though, wouldn't be without it!
