Text message that wasn't from me

I have just texted a work colleague that I haven't seen for a while and she replied saying that she recently had a text message asking me to go to a T mobile website. This message wasn't from me so is my phone infected?

I have an iPhone 5 which I haven't upgraded to IOS 7 as I don't have enough space and don't want to delete anything to enable it to fit. Is there anything I can do to debug the phone? And will this have been sent to all my contacts and will my friends now hate me?

Do you have an anti virus? I don't have an iPhone but have avast on the one I do have.

No I don't, and I'm not sure if there is one for iPhones.

iPhones can't get viruses, the only thing I can think of is if her phone has a virus and is mimicking a text message to get here to follow the link to the t-mobile site, but I would recommend you upgrade to iOS7 as long as you backup to your computer anything you delete to let it install can be restored later
