r4i gold 3ds dont support 3ds roms, if all you want is playing nds games or homebrew,then buy r4i gold 3ds is a good choice,after all,it was the best r4 card with a quicker updating and top game compatibility.

you can not play 3ds games with r4i gold 3ds, it's not a 3ds card. And since your 3ds is v7.2.0-17, sorry you can not play 3ds games, cos for all 3ds game cards can only support 3ds firmware on v4.5-4.1.
