Good music apps on android

I'd love to have some sort of music app on my phone. A friend suggested Spotify but does this (and other music apps) use loads of data? I just want to listen to music on the move as cheaply as possible for free and am worried about using lots of data. We have no 3g reception at home and I don't want to be using up all my mifi data on songs and having none for mumsnet Thanks in advance

Are you specifically after a streaming service or just want to play mp3 tracks (which you can do by default)?

Now there's a question pedro. I think streaming, though this probably uses so much data. How would I do both of these options? sorry to be such a techno idiot
