which Nexus 7 to buy - just wi fi version or with 3G as well?

Would like to be able to use it when on holiday or long car journey, etc, when wi fi is not available. could i just use a wireless mobile data gadget with sim card from giff gaff? Has anyone done this? 3G version costs 50 quid more.

Yes you can. Giffgaff do a range of data packages to suit. Just bear in mind that this is designed for UK use. So if you are thinking of going abroad for your holidays then you will need a data SIM from that country. Or the costs will be eye watering

Thanks for the warning about costs abroad, hadn't thought of that. Will probably just not bother when abroad. Have decided not to get the 3G version. Have discovered that DP has a wireless mobile data thingy, 3G, so I'm hoping that will suffice. The Nexus 7 version with 3G is actually £100 more than the version without it.
