Dd has had dsi for ages want to get her ds2d, 3dxl, dsi xl

So confused which one

what age is she? The 2DS and 3DS/3DS xl all play the 3DS games which the dsi/dsi xl will not play. The 2DS does not fold so it depends if you want a folding console.

Right the DSi Xl is simply the same one that she has already no point in getting that. The 3DS ( Xl or regular size) will play all the latest games for that system and has 3D viewing. The 2DS plays all the games that a 3DS does but with no 3D viewing. However the 3D effect on the 3DS is not recommended for under 7 years of age.

you can turn the 3D effect off on the 3DS - dd cant see 3D so we have turned hers off completely in the parent controls. You can still access the 3D on ds's but he rarely uses it.

Think I will go for 2d better price
Can play 3ds games on it
