Can I set up this sort of calendar on my iPhone/Macbook

On Outlook I used to set reminders on the calendar which then popped up and joined a list of previous reminders and stayed on the screen to remind me! I'd like to set up similar on my iPhone/Macbook please but don't know how to do it. I have done one in Google but it only sends reminders it doesn't store them in list form for me to look at and be reminded by. Can anyone guide me please?

you can use the reminders app on your iphone to create time/date and even location triggered reminders to come up on your phone. These will stay in list form on the app until you check them as done, then they move to a done list. The notification can be set to appear on your screen as a bar at the top, notification in the middle or in full. they can be set so that they will not go away until you do something about it.

This will sync with Mavericks OS so you have a mac they will appear there too.

You can use the calender app for the same purpose but these are not so persistent, and it seems like reminders is the best approach for you.

there are some orgnanise apps in app store, that will syn with google or icloud that have reputations for being excellent, but i've never used them

Thank you - that sounds exactly what I need. Thanks again.

Incidentally, can I do it in reverse i.e. set up on my macbook first?
