as cheap as possible, need to install onto a macbook (via Parallels) as I have one programme which needs to work via windows.

would i be OK without the full version as it seems cheaper to get OEM version.

can you tell I don't really know what i am talking about?
thanks

You can't do better than free.

www.ubuntu.com

What's more not a byte of Microsoft bloatware in sight.

What is the thing you need to run in Windoze? Maybe it'll run on Linux under wine.

Sorry forgot to check back - I need to run an accounts package (SAGE) I am fairly sure it has to be windows unfortunately.

I don't know anywhere you could find it cheaply, but dabs have 32 bit and 64 bit versions for £70 ish

OEM is fine for most purposes. It's intended for system builders but is the same OS.

Thank you wyrdyBird - I have never come across dabs before - will give them a try.
