Help! Can I undo a permanently delete file?

Ahh I accidentally clicked delete and it said do you want to permanently delete these files and I didn't!

It's a recording of a lecture today which I really need - can I undo it?!

Have you checked your recycle bin? If they are not in there I'm fairly sure you will have lost them. X

www.piriform.com/recuva are you a PC or Mac? Which operating system version? Win 7? Win 8? Don't create anything else or save anything new apart fro recuva til you have tried to sort it. Let me know how it goes as I may have some other thoughts.

No worries :) remember to back up any important work to an external hard drive in case you have a computer failure! Always have at least 2 copies.

Thanks I always back up to the cloud but it was just that I plugged my dictaphone in to the computer and managed to press delete before I'd got it off the dictaphone!
