Geeky stuff

Going to sound a little clueless but how do you use an iPad mini 'out and about'?

Do you not need to be connected to your wireless?

I've read people take it on holidays, to the caravan and such like, but how does it connect to the internet.

People have 3G ones. Connect like phones

ChazzerChaser · 15/11/2013 07:47

Or they might just be using stuff that doesn't need the Internet.

Do you also have an iPhone or I think any smart phone? It is possible to connect your mini to the internet through your iPhone hotspot. I'll try and post a link.

You can tenter them to your iphone(if you have one) and it can access Internet through your phones 3G signal.

May b extra costs involved from phone provider though.

I found out last week on a thread on here

You can also do things like download programmes on iplayer so you can watch them when you don't have an internet connection.

Read, game, watch downloaded films, do admin, listen to podcasts? I see people using their smartphones all the time on the Tube, and they're certainly not connected to the Internet (you can get it at stations but not between them).
