forgotten password on samsung tablet

Thats it really my son changed his password then promptly forgot it he has tried hundreds of times with no success.

advice please is there anyway to reset it any way around the password thanks in advance

i think you'll probably have to do a 'hard/factory reset' which will delete all user data on the device (but retain system data and anything stored on the sd card). google 'hard reset' and name of your particular samsung device. it will probably be a combination of holding down the vol+ while powering on the device.
