Hi, would really appreciate some help as nobody in this household has a clue about these things Confused
DS has a flight simulator game, all the specs fit our pc, eg graphics card, memory etc. have loaded the game (2 discs) and it says its completed and finished but there's no icon and when you look on programs the game isn't anywhere to be found! Hmm frustrated now so would really welcome some geeky info please

Can only suggest reinstalling it without your antivirus running (providing you know where the game came from and that it is safe). Some antivirus programs are a bit overzealous.

Also some games won't run at all unless you leave the disc in. If you put it back in does it bring up a menu with PLAY on it?

Will try without a/virus...nothing at all happens when you put the disk in, it's as tho its invisible!

Hmm maybe if you googled the game name someone else would be having the same problem.

If you bring up windows' search function and type in the name of the game, does it find it? Sometimes they install to an obscure and non-obvious location, and if they then also don't create a desktop shortcut or entry in the start menu (or an entry that's not obviously labelled - some games label the start menu entry with the name of the game developer, rather than the name of the game), it could appear as if it's not installed at all. If the search function finds the relevant application, it has in fact installed fine and you can start it from that (and create a shortcut to start it in future without hassle).

Click "my computer",click on the disk that has your windows operating system on,then click program files,is the game listed there,if so click on it,look for a file with the extension .exe, click on that to lauch the game or right click to create a shortcut(a box will pop up).If the game is not in program files,(it may be under the game manufactures name,ie EA sports etc) then I would presume it has not installed correctly.
