I have Lion, and on balance i think I will wait until its been running for a month or so and any bugs have been sorted out. Not helpful I know but I find that when a new anything comes out, these are always bugs…lol
I will update as it will be the basis of any new improvements but not yet.

Yes I have it. Absolutely fine, no problems. No great difference either.

I upgraded from snow leopard, looks OK so far. No major changes that I can see.

me, I have, from Mountain Lion last night on a MacBook Pro. So far so good! I was getting weird delays before. Pretty backdrop picture.

Massive improvement, but then I was starting from Lion, which I hated, and was about to put it back to Snow Leopard, when they brought out Mavericks and redeemed themselves. The energy saving is very good and the speed is back to where it was pre-Lion (big deal!).

But I still can't forgive Apple for the mess they've made of .mac since they turned it into .me and then iCloud, and iTunes is just awful, so my verdict is "not as bad as Windows Vista".

Took a bloody age to upgrade last night! So far having problems with Finder, which somehow will no longer display the list view for some reason. Likewise the tab view isn't working at all.

Just one thing, I have Parallels 7 on my mac so I can use windows sw I need, but I will have to spend some £35 to upgrade as 7 does not support Mavericks grrrrrrrr

You absolutely want Mavericks if you're using dual screens, either two attached to a Mini or an extra display attached to your laptop or iMac. Mavericks sorts out the complete nonsense of there not being a menu strip at the top of secondary displays, which makes using multiple monitors really painful.

@prism... nothing is as bad as vista..

prism · 29/10/2013 08:19

Au contraire, 12thmonkey. Someone gave me an old W98 laptop, I installed nothing on it, and it was better than Vista. So it would seem that nothing is better than Vista...

@prism.. i had to get someone to clarify that.. funny
