I have 2 3G kindle keyboards now ( mine and my dads ) that are ? Dead

Dunno about dads ( he has dementia and old have done anything lol) but mine started on holiday - had to do hard resets often to get it going again when it froze - which was every chapter or less for a bit then I gave up! (in Spain so ? Heat ? Xray etc could have affected it. Dads never been out of uk but was "lost " for ages on the house.

Now the both show the tree wallpaper and no lights when charging or response to long hold of the buttons etc

Is there I trick I don't know or are they bin fodder? I hope mt as I love the kk and they aren't made any more.

Amazon's customer support for the Kindle is fantastic. I had one which was 18 months old and stopped charging. I contacted them and they said that although it was out of warranty that it was an known fault and they would replace it free of charge. Spoke to them on a Sunday afternoon and new one arrived Tuesday lunchtime.
When my daughter sat on hers and broke the screen, they sold us a replacement Kindle for £40. Its easy to get in touch. If you go on the Kindle section of the website, there's a section that says contact us and you put your phone number in and they call you. When I did it they called me within a minute!
