Smart phone with physical numberpad

My ('candybar') phone will probably not last much longer, also my mobile provider just changed my tarif to one with a download included. So i tried my brother's old htc wildfire and couldn't get on with it at all. When i swapped back to my old phone it was like there had been a massive leap forward in texting technology as i could use a numberpad to text quickly again.

So, when i replace my phone i would like one that i can text on sensibly (ie with a numberpad), but that allows me to use the internet,e-mail etc. the only one i can find is the nokia asha 300.

I'm just wondering if there's something i've missed here, or if this is, literally, the only phone for me. Tia!

Watching with interest as I need to change my phone too and, for the amount of texting I do, I really want a physical numberpad too.

I got a smartphone last year and had to return it and go back to a v basic Nokia for this very reason.

Lets hope there is a solution out there.

I think the nokia asha might be the answer, i am put off a little by the camera apparently not being very good (although better than the one on my current phone, but good camera was one of my prerequisites, also, the screen is reductive rather than ? Which is apparently not as good). However! If i think of it as the same as my current phone, but with internet access, then it seems like a pretty good option. I should wait till my old phone dies, but it needs charging every couple of days and quite often says there's no signal, which i previously blamed on the network, so it's clearly on its way out... We'll see.

Try Carphone Warehouse phone finder on their website, it lists a few other possible options if you select 'non touchscreen' (I am trying to find one with a qwerty keyboard atm).

I can't get that to work porpoise, it just says 'oops, cant find what you're looking for', which is helpful...

Oh yeah, it worked that time, thanks! Looks like nokia asha is my only option, but some of the reviews aren't great. What to do, what to do...

Am marking my place as I am also on the lookout for a phone with a keyboard, touchscreen AND good camera!
