It is driving me insane, every time I try to look at an item online this horrible green line slides across the picture and up pops a little window with alternative Deals. Angry I will find my own deals.

How did this horrible thing get onto my PC and how do I get rid of it please?

My laptop, thank goodness, is not infected. I hate it so much I would get rid of the PC in order to rid myself of Deal Finder

Please help Thanks

try the removal instructions here

Hi Chanatan
I have downloaded the malware remover and run analysis, it came up with over 500 files which I deleted. (I don't really understand why Kaspersky didn't pick them all up) So the PC is running just fine.

But I still have deal finder Angry. I have manually checked programmes but its not there - at least not called Deal Finder.

I am trying to remove it from Chrome tool bar but I can't find the wrench icon.

Thanks for your help so far any suggestions as to what to do next?

Have you got adblock for chrome installed? It works brilliantly for me.

I don't think so, where do I get that?

Have a look in Control Panel>Programs and Features,is there anything there titled SuperFish, apparently this is the host of Deal Finder,if so delete.
I found a thread on Bleeping computer here, somebody else had this ,look at post 7,they managed to get rid by disabling browser extensions and then enabling one by one until they found the culprit.

If it was me,I would download adwcleaner, use the search button, then delete and then restart,it will get rid of PUP,s(potentially unwanted programs).

Let me know how you get on.

I did it!! I had to delete pretty much everything that I didn't recognize and DS is going to kill me for ruining his settings but the bloody Deal Finder is gone Grin

Took me hours as I'm a long way from being a techy.

I feel so damn chuffed with myself Grin

Well done,it might be wise to keep Malwarebytes and run it weekly along with your antivirus, just remember to update it,it will find malware that your antivirus wont find.
It probably came on to your pc/laptop bundled with some software that you downloaded,in future check all pages for added software(ask toolbar is one that comes to mind) when installing anything and opt out if necessary.
