It's an iPad2 16 gb wifi I only, in white. 2 yrs old.
It's in good condition (has always been kept in a sturdy case).

Any suggestions about what would be a reasonable price? I've looked on ebay but there is a huge range and I'm a bit Confused!

Thanks.

I'd go for something like £180 for a friend, £200 if you don't know them.

£180?! That seemed a bit low to me. I was thinking £200 - maybe I am being a bit high. This selling to friends business is a bit of a minefield.

I sold my ipad 1s for £240 a few weeks ago. They were in okay condition but they are old now!

This is an ipad2 so should theoretically be worth more. Eek. I wonder if I should just sell on ebay? I don't want to let my friend down but I also don't want to give the thing away.
Where did you sell yours Caja? Were yours 16gb ones?

I would look at eBay, do an advanced search and select completed listings then gauge the average selling price.

Ah, great idea, thanks PP, I'll try that Smile

GT - you might also look at www.webuy.com (CEX shops) and see what they sell an iPad 2 for (grade A based on "good condition", as grade B and C are "with wear and tear", and "lots of w+t" respectively).

You could also pop into Cash Convertors / Cash Generator / Grainger Games if there are any near you and see what their selling prices are (they would all offer much less).

Then knock a percentage off - how much is up to you, but explain how you'd be getting more than if you sold to a shop, your friend would be paying less than from such a shop, and this way knows getting one that hasn't been mistreated.

Also, do bear in mind with Ebay you'd have to pay a listing fee, lose a portion of the sale price to Ebay, then lose some more if accepting payment via PayPal, and have the hassle of padding, packing, and sending the iPad...
