What tablet that isnt IPad?

BF has an aversion to Apple so IPad is out.
It needs a good microphone to record things, annotate PDFs, write notes (and be able to send them to a laptop to carry on writing- all on word)
Looking we thing Nexus or a samsung but so confused.

Help please

I have a Nexus - the sound quality isn't that great without speakers and the volume is low - so I would check that before you buy. Not sure if you can use a microphone. You might want an external keyboard as the 7 inch keyboard is very small. Not sure about the Word bit
