Receiving Intermittant Broadband Reception Anyone Know Why Please?

Since getting a new reuter this has been a problem. When I search for answers it says DNS server down. What I would like to know is are there any other factors for this ie neighbouring buildings/houses and their broadband services or anything similar? TIA.

When we had Sky put in they told us it would take up to 3 weeks for the line to settle/in and they were right, for about 10 days is was on and off, but after than it has been totally fine.
