Can someone help me out?

I'm running the FB app on an iPhone 4 and since it updated, I get a snazzy little circular icon on the RHS of the screen to indicate who has sent me a direct message.
Problem is, I've read/replied to the message and I can't get rid of it!
It floats on top of whatever page I'm looking at.

Any ideas how I can close it?

Press and hold the circle and start to move it downwards...there will be a cross in a circle at the bottom of the page in the middle. If you drag it there it will close it. :-)

Drag it down to the bottom of the screen and an x will appear to close it. I hate the new update!
