help, htc not updating emails

Anyone know how to mend without losing all contacts and photos etc?

Do you mean it's not synchronising emails? Like you know you've got a new mail but it's not appearing on the phone?

On my Android tablet I have a sync button which can be on or off (although I can sync mail explicitly within the application as well). Could that be it?

Seems to be a prob on the old HTCs, but if you are right, they might have fixed it.

I take it your data contract hasn't run out? You're still able to surf t'internet etc.

And the password for your email account hasn't changed? (I'd expect that to pop up an error message, rather than fail silently though).

How about the ole fave 'turn it off and turn it on again'?

Is it a Gmail account you're trying to sync? This suggests removing the account from the device and re-adding it.

Data contract ok, ditto password.

Turn it on and off not worked, airplane mode too.

I would try a factory reset but that will mean losing my photos and not convinced.the auto back up will work. Which means I need to do anothet back up and am clue less as to.how to

Just uninstall the app and reinstall it rather than a factory reset.

Factory reset would be a last resort, but you can back everything up before doing it so you don't lose your photos and other personal files.

It's my sky account. Have been installing but keeps saying my server is not responding.

But server is responding for this...

Sky emails changed to yahoo around 3/4 April your settings will need updating. Email addresses stay the same.
