Gmail. Very weird. Grey screen, long tutorial, can't get send messages.

Anyone know what's going on?

Please. I am so useless. I've looked online but I need it explained in words of one syllable.

They changed how Compose works. I saw it briefly, no tutorial as such just the screen showing where bcc, was now positioned.

Are you using desktop, ipad/tablet, phone version of gmail?

It's the new compose feature.
The first time you use it the greyed out box and tutorial options come up.
For some reason it won't let you move on from that - i found closing the window and reopening it allowed me to reply to emails.
