iphone 5 battery charge

i'm having problems getting my battery recharged while the phone is switched on - it takes hours for anything to change.

switched off, it seems to be able to charge fully overnight.

i've seen other comments about iphone 5 battery life - is this just part of that issue? i really don't want to switch my phone off during the day to recharge...

I had issues with my iphone 5 charger within two days of having it.
I bought a new charger on ebay for a fiver and its been fine.

I can pm you the buyer I got it from if that helps, I was wary of buying one from ebay but its been spot on, no issues at all

so you think it's the charger, not the phone??? crumbs - I specifically bought an authentic apple one!!!

It was for me yes, phone has been fine with new charger. I googled the fault and saw quite a few people having the same or similar issues.

For me when I plugged it it it would charge for ten seconds and then stop, this went on all night so wAsnt fully charged.

New charger was delivered within 3 days and haven't had an issue since.

That's where I bought mine, got an iPad charger from then too and again no problems
