How do I transfer data from a standard SIM to a micro SIM?

So my handset has died a horrible death amd hopefully most of my data is on my SIM. Ordered a new handset but it has a micro SIM so I can't use my old SIM. So do you know how I get my contacts etc on to my new handset/SIM?

What kind of phones are we talking about? Are the contacts definitely on the SIM?

Assuming that your contacts are on the SIM, take both into your O2/Three/x store and they will do it for you at no charge.

Dead phone is a Nokia 520i, shiny new phone is Nokia Lumia 620.

Contract with Virgin so not sure any other provider would want to help.

Most contacts are on the SIM, have been using standard, old SIM in DP's phone and most of them are there.

Carphone Warehouse sells SIMs for Virgin so they should be able to take care of it for.
