Iphone 4 or 4s?

My daughter would like an iPhone for her 16th birthday, I was thinking of a 4 or should I stretch to a 4s, is there that much difference?

I have a 4s and personally I don't think the difference is really worth it. It might be a little bit faster and I think the camera is a little better, but probably not enough to make it worth it.

The 4s has siri, the voice recognition thing, but I literally never use it.

Go for 4s if you can afford it. One of the reasons Apple released the 4s is because with the 4, the aerial is located in the back panel and people complained that the reception was crap, as their hand covered it when they made and received calls. So with the 4s they relocated it!

If you are considering the 4s you should go with it. For most people the difference is negligible but there are some big differences in terms of hardware.
Processor speed, screen resolution chip architecture. In real terms it means the 4s will be supported longer and will be able to use new iOS's and features released in the future.
