BT Yahoo toolbar keeps telling me I have MINUS 1 new email messages

Minus 1?

As in "-1" which appears where it ususally registers the number of new messages since the last log in.

It is usually accurate in alerting me to new mail.

Unsurprisingly there is nothing unusual when I then click to open my inbox, no new mail and the figure disappears - but why is is even possible for it to register a minus number?

How can this be?

I've never heard of this! Perhaps it has double counted a deletion for some reason (although that spunds like pretty poor programming!)

Either that or you've received some kind of anti-matter email

Have you tried googling to see if anyone else has the same problem?

I like the idea of anti-matter email, but it is weirding me out somewhat and getting me all excited at the prospect of new mail when it shouldn't, goddamit. It's a big old anti-climax
