Whats best and easiest way to go about it? Website...blog...?!

blog perhaps, but it depends on the type of info, really, and whether you want to add new topics over days / weeks / months or whether you want to present the bulk of the information in one go, and then perhaps add to it (without knowing what the content will be I am stabbing in the dark!).

If the information can be split the way that a set of books in a library are (by content) in a trunk / branch / twigs type way then a website with pages you build could be one approach, or something like Tiki Wiki, maybe.

Some hosting services include a software installer (such as Installatron or Fantastico) which means the hard work is done behind the scenes, in the main, and you just enter some details on a 2-4 page web form (website title, domain info, name/ mail address/ password and other administrative info).

If you've seen a site with pages linked together in a way you think you could parallel, then that could be a starting point (to identify any content management system in use).

Ah thanks NetworkGuy...the website with pages I can build sounds like the way forward! Would you know what type of costs are involved?

Hosting space can be £20 a year, sometimes less, including a .co.uk domain name. Other domain names may cost more.

The content management system may be free, or an extra cost.

Probably best to find a site you like the look of which (link from page to page -wise) seems similar to how you might organise the info, then if using an 'off the {digital} shelf' package, it means you know what software you're looking for on any hosting service.

I just checked the pricing on a company called Leaphost.co.uk (which has mention of some 250+ applications which could be installed using another package called 'Softaculous'. They've also got a coupon for half price for the first month, so you could try them out for 1.50 :)

They offer hosting for 1 account at 2.99/month (not charged annually, so you could try them for 2-3 months and move on, or if you take hosting somewhere else and find a problem, use Leaphost as an interim solution while hunting for a more permanent hoome) and 3.99/month for a 'reseller' account - that's one where a user could sell hosting but is actually a very cheap way to be able to host multiple domains without paying multiple fees. (I have about 40 sites of my own and into the hundred for clients, but with various hosting firms)
