A new basic Kindle is only £69. Wouldn't it be easier just to replace it with a new one?

I had my 3 year old graphite with keyboard replaced this year by Amazon.com for 30$. - my mother had bought it in the US for me before they were here. I accidentally broke the charging socket so went on Amazon chat to see what could be done. A shiny brand new updated with keyboard one arrived from the US 2 days later and I had to post the old one back to them. They then refunded the postage to US! Brilliant service
