Is a TalkTalk YouView box compatible with any internet provider?

A relative has received a free YouView box via TalkTalk - she does not want it and will sell it to us very cheaply - I am assuming we do not have to have TalkTalk connection to use it (we do have fast broadband connection). We cannot try before we buy as we do not live near her - any ideas?

Any broadband provider will be fine. The boxes are designed to be generic. You can see all the spec here
