Probably being really dim here but I just need a bit of help.
We have a shared apple id which we use for purchases etc on itunes (yes I know its not ideal but its just evolved that way)anyway we are generally not unhappy about this for purchases ,however I have now got an ipad (also have iphone and a family shared mac)and if I back up in the cloud I don't want the other shared users of the apple id to be able to see my email,documents etc although we are happy to share music,photos apps .We also have a shared family email address which we use for most things family so this is the one I pick up on a day to day basis and which has most of my non work contacts etc (work is completely separate).Most of the stuff in here is innocuous but there is the odd email to teachers etc which I wouldn't want the ds to see.
Having looked at the apple site I know I can use one id for store purchases and one for icloud so that seems to solve the problem,I have set up a new apple id using an Email address which is my personal one which I mostly use for shopping (!!)If I set up icloud with this email and link it on both phone and ipad will it share my contacts including those for the other original family email .Also will it share my apps on my phone with the ipad ?
