My Tom Tom Go satnav (approx 4 years old) told me to turn left into a motorway crash barrier

It also tried to send me up a hilly cycle track to a campsite.

Is it time to change my satnav??? Ds and I nearly threw it out of the window last night after we went round in circles in the dark.

Can anyone recommend one:
under £100
will stay stuck to the windscreen
make it clear which lane to go on

Please?

Have you ever updated your Tom Tom? Road layouts change and your sat nav won't know unless you update the software online from time to time!

Thanks MKL and NB. And no Blush, I've never updated my Tom Tom Blush.

Oh well, better get googling to see if I can update. Still have the problem of it falling off every few seconds (have tried cleaning), and confusion over roundabouts though.

I had a quick look at Amazon and the choice is just overwhelming Shock

Do you have a smartphone mobile? I use that for incar navigation. When it has a data signal (so not all the time alas) it gives me details on traffic. It got me from southern England to Scotland fine, and driving through Wales on major roads. Smaller roads in situations where there is no data signal is trickier as it does not store the map on the phone but downloads it in sections, so can get a situation where the map isn't there in time for when you actually drive that bit of road - happens rarely but if you do a lot of rural driving then it may happen more often for you.

Just a thought. I use Waze as the navigation app on an Android phone.
