I would love to be able to design great posters for our school PTA events, and print lovely labels for jam etc but just don't how. Is there some software out there that is worth purchasing that will help me get creative?

Microsoft Publisher is good for this as it comes with a ton of templates for various things. Although, you can achieve much of the same stuff with Word or even Powerpoint if you know what you're doing.

DD uses Microsoft Publisher for school projects/posters/cards etc. I tend to use Photoshop because i've been using it for years.
