I dropped my phone in the loo, and now it smells of pee!

Any tips?

It was, of course, a just used loo, because why would a phone throw itself into a vaguely clean loo? I put it in rice and a few days later it seems to be working fine, but it really smells of pee . I've got a year left on my contract and can't really afford a new phone, nor how much my supplier will undoubtedly charge to 'repair' it.

I think the problem is its a Nokia C3 and the water is trapped under the glass cover, but Googling has sadly revealed that you can't remove the front, its not designed for that to happen.

Was going to suggest a very slow oven, which sorted out dd2s phone disaster, but you've already regained function. All I can think of is to leave it somewhere dry and draughty whenever it's not in use, rather than festering in your bag or pocket, and hope the smell gradually disappears.
