problems with firefox and safari

firefox keeps crashing and is running oh so slooooowly

safari is a bit slow but not crashing

chrome is fine

what's going on??

Same here. Always used firefox but for a month or so haven't been able to. Chrome working fine. Odd thing is firefox works fine on my other laptop

Was something on Bbc news yesterday about problems with Firefox and risk of viruses. Have shut mine down got now. Had no idea about safari though.

The firefox problem reported on BBC news only affected the brand new release of Firefox which has not yet been released for general use so I doubt if thats your problem.
Do you know what version of Firefox you are using,I am using 15 which is running fine.Your problems could be caused by a virus,is your AV up to date and have you run a scan recently?It would be worth downloading the free version of Malwarebytes and running a scan to see if you are affected by malware.
