Anyone bought a refurbished ipod touch?

DD wants an ipod touch for xmas and a quick look on ebay shows a few refurbished ones significantly cheaper than new. Some seem to come with guarentee and although cheaper than new they are not free.

Just wondering if anyone out there has any experience of buying these and should I give them a wide berth or not?

I bought a refurbished iPhone 2 years ago & had no problems with it. I got mine from O2 & it did have some sort of guarantee but can't remember how long for.

The sellers seem to have plenty of + feedback, reason tells me that there shouldn't be a problem buying these AND it would save ££. It's already a Christmas / Birthday combined present.

Oh the Apple store sells them as well with 12 month guarentee!!

I've bought several :) (4 teens who lose stuff!) So far no problems..just make sure the seller has good feedback.

I bought my ipad refurb too..however got that from Apple for the guarantee.

ive have a refurbished macbook air(4 yrs old) and an iphone(2 yrs) and have had no problems with either

i had the fan replaced under warranty and apple then fixed my macbook for free ages after the warranty ran out because there is a design fault with the hinge

ive never paid full price for apple stuff its a ripoff
