Lost my hard drive with all my music! Can I get it off my iPod?!!

Warning - I am tech eejit with no clue what I am doing!

My previous MacBook died and all my cds were on there from when dh loaded them onto my iPod. They were not on my iTunes (dunno what he did and neither does he - he is also an eejit) so I presume I cannot sync my iPod without losing all the stuff thats already on it? Can I get the stuff off the iPod and into my iTunes library? They were all cd's rather than downloads.

Am I making sense? Can you help me?!!! wibbles

You can use your iPod like a normal memory stick and drag and drop files from it to your My Music. Before you can see it there is a way of telling your PC to show you hidden files or hidden data, something like that, but once you've done that it is really easy.

Sorry I can't remember how to do that one bit!
