colour contrast on tv

First thing, I'm useless with technology.

Have old Sony Triniton TV. Colour is perfect when using the DVD. Just managed to get my new BT vision box plugged in and working: however: Now the TV picture is green. I've gone onto the TV settings and tried to alter the colour contrast but I can only vary between black&white and green.

Can anyone help? TIA

First thing I'd check is the cable - it sounds like the R and B are bits of RGB are faulty. What sort of cable does it use? SCART (rectangular-ish plud), component (three connectors, red, white and yellow plugs) or co-axial (normal TV aerial cable)?

SCART and an aerial cable from the indoor small aerial box (do not have a roof or loft aerial). both cables are brand new.

So I take it co-ax to the BT Vision box, then SCART from BT Vision to TV?

Have you got another SCART cable connecting the DVD player to the TV? If so, try that one from the BT Vision box and see if that makes a difference.

ok. I'll try swapping them over. I'll keep you posted.
