Computer not outputting to monitor or tv

I in a bit of a fix in that my desktop is not outputting either to tv or monitor. The error is 'No Sync' which can usually be remedied by plugging it into a monitor and changing the resolution. However neither device is recognising it. Is there anything I can do or is it more likely the graphi s card is shagged?

Is it a separate graphics card or integrated? If separate, try taking it out and putting it back in again - the contacts can sometimes be loose.

Windows machine? Will it boot into Safe Mode - so not using hi res screen setting?

'No Sync' I suspect is what the monitor is saying... which means it can't work out the signal it's getting, or it may not even be getting a signal.

Unplug the cable... does it then say 'No Signal' or still 'No Sync'?

Check the cable connector - are all the pins straight?

If still not solved... then do you have the ability to connect the monitor to anything else - to test that the monitor is working.
You need to narrow down the problem... is it the monitor or the graphics card?
