Can't get Virgin Media Tivo box to work with new Samsung HD Smart TV - any ideas?

We had virgin installed and set up on ancient old non-HD CRT tv with a scart cable. Now weve got a new Samsung HD TV. Can't get Virgin to work. Works ok on old tv. Freeview via the aerial works on the new TV.

I've set the Virgin Tivo box to output video format in 1080 HD using the old TV. Then plugged it into new tv using an HDMI cable instead of the scart cable. Can't get any picture and it won't find and cable channels.

What am I doing wrong?

you need to press the hdmi button on the tv remote. was going to say you need to change settings on box but you have already done that. Hope that works

So on new tv there should be something to say use the Hdmi output? Ok great will have a look on one of the 2 remotes when I get back? Why isn't it plug and play! Knew it wouldn't be simple!

On the top on the remote there is a hdmi button which you can press or the source button then scroll down and should find hdmi
