So, I've bought an I-pad, tell me your favourite apps and any top tips of how to get the most out of it.

I've recently sold loads of things on eBay and decided to treat ourselves with the earnings!

We've got 2ds's aged 6.5 and 3.10 , what apps might they enjoy?

So far I'm getting frustrated that there's no arrow keys to move the cursor with, and can't figure out how to organise my e-mails into folders of my choice.

Any top tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I have a iPad and a ds 4 and dd 14 they both love the star walk app (2.99 I think) you got out look at the stars and it tells you all about it, we've had great fun star watching ds is astronomy obsessed-blame star wars Grin he also likes the storybook apps you can get there's a mickey mouse one which reads you the story has puzzles in etc. Lego one is also fun for him. Hope that helps I got used to mine pretty quickly though with 2 children I hardly ever get to use it Grin

Thanks. They don't know that I've got it yet! I think that I need a few lessons in even the basics!

I don't know about apps for children as my teens don't get they're paws on mine but I love ... My Horse , Pinterest , Draw Free , Angry Birds .

If you go into the app store and press top charts then you will see the most popular free and paid apps. My most used are mumsnet and pinterest of course but also sky go (tv on the go and a good alternative to multi room) plus sky cloud wifi, dropbox for documents, cloud on for creating word docs, iswifter for viewing sites that use flash player, bbc I player, amazon, eBay, Skype, kindle.....
