Best way to convert DVDs to iTunes compatible - so can watch on iPad

Hi

I have a whole load of DVDs we want to put away as no where to have them out or easily accessible now.

I want to transfer them over onto my computer and be able to watch them on my iPad.

What is the best way to do this, ideally without a watermark in the corner too?

Thanks

You need handbrake I reckon

i use it to convert avi's to the right format for iphones etc - you would need some other sw to rip the DVD's forst maybe and i am not sure about copyright protection etc (cant do with Disney movies I think)

Hmm - a fair few are Disney.

I just want DD to be able to watch them on the iPad rather than on a DVD player.

Handbrake can convert DVD content to things like M4V and you can then just add them to your iTunes library. Here's an intro to the Windows version, which is worth a read.
