Flaming google redirect/hijack virus

I've managed to pick up this really annoying redirect virus mainly on google- it has been ok, irritating but liveable with so far, but today it has started redirecting to porn sites and I need to get rid of it. I have tried Kaspersky and Trend Micro and they haven't managed to detect it or remove it. So I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a virus remover that I could try because it is driving me mad and DNW porn in the living room. Also I read that I need a root kit remover? because I don't really know how those work....

TIA

This any help?

frasersmummy · 30/03/2012 17:47

it may not be a virus as such .. could be malware

try downloading and running malware bytes and/or spybot

Bugger. Posted too soon. Sounds like you may have the new TDSS/DNS Namechanger. That link up there's pretty current, so has a decent chance of working. If it won't download to your pooter, then you probably are infected. In which case, download to a clean one, load onto a flash drive, start your pc in 'safe' mode, load and run the program. Good luck.
