photos lost in the ether of my mobile phone

Can anybody help? My mobile phone, a samsung i9100 galaxy s2 has developed a crack on the screen which is rapidly clouding over. I am finding it extremely difficult to download my photos onto my pc. I became a grandma for the first time on Wednesday 7th and the photos of my grandson are on the phone. I have tried to access info from the samsung site but that was a no go... Any suggestions?

Are you hooking up to a pc via a USB link? If so the screen on the phone should not affect that, although it may affect your ability to tell the phone to mount as an external drive.

Are the photos on a memory card (prob microSD inside the phone)? If so you should be able to access them by taking out the memory card and putting into a memory card reader (via an adapter).

Is the phone still functioning? I'm assuming it is a smart phone (sorry don't know that model without looking it up). If so email them to yourself...
