why doesn't my igoogle page come on anymore when i try to connect to the internet

I am not very technical so I apologise if I am being really stupid I have a PAYG dongle for my laptop and usually when I click on 'internet' igoogle comes up and I can just search or do whatever I need to on the net. However when I've tried it today a download page comes on with something called getpagemodel and asks if I want to save it. I have tried to cancel or clear the download list but I still can't get my normal google page up. What's going on?

Sounds like your homepage has been accidentally reset. Can you go into your browser's options and reset it to www.google.co.uk? (I'd be more specific about how but I don't know which browser you're using!)

Thanks for that! I seemed to have fathomed it out now, all back to normal. Well almost, everything is running really really slow now, pages are taking forever to load up
