Outlook and changing email to IMAP

Hi, just wondering if someone out there understands the whole IMAP/POP email thingy...

Our server guys (small business with website) recommended we change our email to imap from the pop form as i pick up email from a number of devices. Works okay on the iphone etc, but on my laptop am having real trouble.

If I set-up the email account as an imap all good, though the whole inbox dissappears once I close the inbox. It does not reappear when i open outlook - it only comes back if i delete account and re-enter it.

Currently email goes to a laptop (with issues) using outlook 2007, ipad, iphone (both fine) and another desktop that is rarely used.

Ideally i want to have all my email accounts showing the same thing - delete from one = delete from all.

Many thanks oeufy

Yes, IMAP is the way to go if wanting to manipulate your email from 2+ devices.

Don't know why Outlook 2007 would be playing up though. Try Googling for imap setup instructions involving your email provider and that should either take you to their Help pages or someone in your shoes who's done the same thing and posted their experiences on the Web.
