Can anyone help please? This happened last week and I followed the instructions on the Apple website, held down the on/off button and menu button til the Apple logo came on and restarted it.

Just tried it as it's gone white again and it isn't doing anything.

Is it dead?

Each time I was trying to load the same game, hungry cat, for dd2. Does anyone know how to delete apps if I get it back working again?

Knew I shouldn't have ventured into the modern technological age.

Ok, if it's only ever happened when playing that game then my first suggestion is to delete it and see what happens.

Follow the same instructions to restart the Ipad. Now in order to delete an application, just press down on the icon and hold your finger on the screen for about 2 seconds. The icons should now jiggle and you'll see an X on top. Press that, confirm you want to delete. That's it. To stop them jiggling, just press the Apple home button again.

See how you get on. If the screen keeps going white regardless then you may want to take it to an Apple store and get them to check it out.

Thanks Niceguy. I have finally been able to restart it after letting the battery run right down. Can't tell you how relieved I am! Grin

Assuming you mean Hungry Cats (Hungry Cat is only available for the iPad) there's at least one review on the app store saying it crashed an iPod touch with a white screen twice, then the third time 'broke it completely'

Just one thought - it does say iOS 4.3 and above - what is your iPod running? Look in Settings - General-About-Version)
